At the end of the first world war, Federico Marzan established a company specialising in the recovery and deactivation of explosive devices.
This activity continued until 1953, when, after the death of the founder, the company changed its name to Saima and re-directed its production to drilling, boring, honing, hard chrome plating and construction of hydraulic cylinders.
By capitalising on its wealth of experience and know-how acquired in the field of precision mechanics, the company soon became one of the sector’s leaders in terms of technical skills and turnover.
